Now here are a few pictures from last week, when Jesse and Anne were in Hudson for a visit!! The boys gotta work on their smiles, don't let the picture deceive you, we all had a great time :) Well, except for when Jesse took off the tip of his thumb with a cheese slicer, poor thumbkin...we also had a beautiful snow the other day that mom and I got to tromp around in for a bit. Hope you're enjoying whatever exciting weather comes your way :)

this is what i do...
Been spending some quality time with the cats these days! Now that everyone is back to work, I'm enjoying a little (okay a lot!) of R & R around the house...
I fly back to Seattle next Wednesday, so I've still got some time here. I'm talking with several people about rooms to rent when I move back, and I have a few exciting prospects! I might take a room in a house where a new EarthCorps member just moved in, which would be so cool! Her crew leaders will be my friends from last year...what a fun way to stay in the loop of what's going on around there!...I love being home, but I'm equally as excited to be back in Seattle!

Gonna be a great year...
Happy New Year!! I've kicked off 2009 by embracing the insatiable travel bug I've inherited from my dear mother...I can't stop, as usual :) Over this break I will have been in 9 different states! After Christmas I drove with my parents to Chicago, then decided to extend the trip down to Indiana to see my mom's sister and some more cousins. Then I took the megabus back to Chicago after a few days for New Years with my college friends Nick and Chris.
As for my 2009 plans, I actually just found out that the Trail Leader positions I was applying for have all been filled! Bummer about that...I waited too long to apply...but they said they'd call me if one reopens. Guess that wasn't meant to be. I'm sad, but strangely invigorated at the thought of who knows what...I bought my return ticket to Seattle, for Jan. 28. So after next week in Iowa, and Jesse and Anne home the following week, I'll have a solid 2 weeks in Hudson with nothing to do but figure out what to do :) Already I'm thinking up a few more road trips to take, maybe a day or two in Duluth...we'll see...
Enjoy these pictures, of my amazing family and our new babies!! Hope you are well, much love!
